Web-based Geographic Information System

Tourism is a recreational or leisure activity supported by various facilities and services provided by the community, businesses, and the government. Travel activities typically involve planned or unplanned travel, resulting in unique experiences for those who travel. Tourism is an activity that provides satisfaction and a pleasant response, making tourist attractions attractive to tourists. A tourist destination is a tourist attraction that serves as a destination for tourists.

A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, analyze, manage, and store data to display geographic or spatial location information. GIS is capable of depicting a location on the Earth's surface. This system has the advantage of managing spatial data and retrieval of geographic information.

GIS websites can be developed using the Laravel framework, a web-based systems framework that implements the Model-View-Controller (MVC) concept. The Google Maps Application Programming Interface (API), integrated into the Laravel framework, incorporates a Geocoding API service that converts latitude and longitude coordinates into tourist location addresses.
