Two months have passed since I started my journey at Bangkit Academy, focusing on Mobile Development. The Bangkit program has been a comprehensive experience honing adaptability skills. As a program that prepares Indonesian students for careers in technology, Bangkit focuses on the skills and certifications that the industry really needs. I experienced first-hand the importance of adaptability in five key aspects: interacting, achieving, learning, working, and thinking.
1. Ways of Interacting
Bangkit introduced me to a dynamic virtual collaboration environment. Meeting people from different educational backgrounds, cultures, and abilities gave me a new experience in communication. As someone who was originally introverted, I learned to be more open and communicate effectively thanks to the support of mentors and a supportive environment. This helped me adapt and develop better communication skills.
2. Ways of Achieving
The Bangkit program is tightly structured and target-oriented. We are encouraged to complete tasks, certification training, and achieve set milestones, while balancing the Bangkit schedule with other commitments. Through this challenge, I have come to understand the importance of discipline and time management that has been taught in previous Interactive Learning Talks (ILT) sessions to achieve results on time.
3. Ways of Learning
The Bangkit curriculum includes soft skills, hard skills, and improved English language skills. With the applied growth mindset, I learned to manage my time and projects better. Over time, I moved from multitasking to monotasking, focusing on one task at a time, which helped me absorb information better and complete tasks more efficiently.
4. Ways of Working
Bangkit required me to adapt to a virtual work style. Focused workspace organization is key to productivity. I organize my virtual and physical work environments to access resources easily, thereby reducing distractions. By applying what I learned in the previous ILT, I was able to focus more on one task at a time, which greatly improved my productivity.
5. Ways of Thingking
Bangkit taught me the importance of a growth mindset, which is very relevant to everyday life. In dealing with issues such as time management, finances, and lack of confidence, I learned to analyze fixed mindset thinking. By detailing at least five reasons behind the problem and creating challenges for myself, I gradually faced and overcame the obstacles.
as a cohort in the Bangkit program is not only about technical skills, but also about personal growth. Every aspect of this experience enriched my adaptability and prepared me for further challenges in the professional world.
